The 6 frame nucleus hive can also be a 4-way mating nucleus , we just use 3 dividers and separate the brood box in 4 space
To feed these 4 queens and their bees, we place on the roof of the frames, a specially designed feeder which consists of two sections, to place the liquid food in one section and the sugar yeast in the other.
It includes special doors for the bees to enter and exit which are placed around the perimeter of the base to facilitate the queens and the bees to find the right entrance.
Also each entrance has a folding flight board (rests on a hinge), has a different colour to identify the correct landing position and when necessary it closes and safely traps the beehive so that it can be moved to another place
